The 'American Horror Story: Roanoke' star has surrendered to police and entered his plea as he was accused of inappropriately touching at least five women.

AceShowbiz - Cuba Gooding Jr. surrendered to the New York Police Department on Tuesday, October 15 and pleaded not guilty to counts of forcible touching and sexual abuse in the third degree.

The Oscar winner has been hit with misconduct accusations from five women.

One complaint was shelved last week, just ahead of trial, after a second accuser came forward.

According to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the alleged victim claims Cuba pinched her buttocks without consent at TAO nightclub in New York City a year ago, after making a "sexually suggestive remark" to her.

The indictment also includes 12 witnesses with allegations, for which Gooding is not being charged. Prosecutors are including them to show a pattern of bad behaviour.

Since the latest lawsuit, three other women have come forward with similar stories, one claiming the "Jerry Maguire" star reached under her dress and penetrated her with his finger.

Gooding's next court appearance is set for December 13.

Speaking to reporters outside court on Tuesday, the actor's attorney, Mark Heller, said, "We are completely confident that there will be no criminal conviction of Cuba Goding Jr. Cuba Gooding is certainly innocent of the allegations that will be presented today before the court and we are going to ask that the court send this case out today for trial.

"As everybody is aware, these criminal proceedings go on and while that happens the defendant's life is put on hold."

Heller tells Entertainment Tonight he is planning to ask the court to throw both ongoing cases out, insisting the latest lawsuit against his client is "even less credible than the first case," adding, "After Cuba was arrested over 120 days ago, a rep of the second accuser thought to seek a payment from Cuba and he declined to be shaken down. At that point, she moved forward to establish this second charge and it was presented to the grand jury."

The Oscar winner was initially arrested and charged with forcible touching in June and turned himself in to the Manhattan Special Victims Unit.

Accused of groping a woman at a bar in New York City, he has maintained his innocence and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
