The 'Wolf of Wall Street' director is not fond of any of the Marvel superhero movies and especially appalled that 'Avengers: Endgame' became the top-grossing movie of all time.

AceShowbiz - Martin Scorsese insists the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) should not be considered real "cinema".
The award-winning filmmaker has helmed numerous blockbuster movies, including "Goodfellas", "Taxi Driver, "The Wolf of Wall Street" and his most recent flick, "The Irishman".
Speaking to Empire magazine, however, the star confessed his dismay at "Avengers: Endgame" being declared the highest grossing film of all time, telling the publication: "Honestly, the closest I can think of them (Marvel movies), as well made as they are, with actors doing the best they can under the circumstances, is theme parks."
"It isn't the cinema of human beings trying to convey emotional, psychological experiences to another human being."
Four of the current top 10 highest grossing movies of all time come from Marvel, but the 76-year-old insisted he can't bring himself to appreciate their merit. "I tried, you know? But that's not cinema," he added.
"Avengers: Endgame" secured the top spot back in July, making more than Avatar's $2.78 billion global box office takings in just 13 weeks.
