The KISS bassist undergoes the procedure at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles nearly a month after his rock band postponed three dates on their 'End of the Road' farewell tour to allow him to do so.

AceShowbiz - Rocker Gene Simmons is recovering after he was admitted to the hospital with kidney stones.

According to TMZ, the KISS bassist underwent a short procedure at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 01.

Last month, KISS postponed three dates on their "End of the Road" farewell tour so Simmons could undergo "a medical procedure."

He took to Twitter last month to assure fans he was OK. "The truth is, I have to fly to LA to do a medical procedure," he wrote. "Nothing serious. But it must be taken care of now. Thank you for your good wishes. All is well."

The group is planning to resume the final world tour in Australia with a show in Perth on 16 November.
