The 'Queer Eye' star reveals he understands why people were mad over his remarks about his 'Dancing with the Stars' co-star, saying in a recent interview, 'I am not delusional. I'm with them.'

AceShowbiz - Karamo Brown is facing the aftermath of his controversial remarks about his "Dancing with the Stars" co-star Sean Spicer. Him defending the former White House press secretary apparently affected his family as Brown claimed that he wasn't the only who get the backlash for calling Spicer a "sweetheart."

While appearing in the Wednesday, September 25 episode of Catt Sadler's podcast "Naked", the "Queer Eye" star claimed that his sons Jason (22) and Chris (19) started getting "death threats" while walking down the streets evening in Philadelphia. "He (Chris) was running home because somebody was in a car chasing after him in the car screaming at him: '(Expletive) you and your dad! You're going to die!' " Brown explained.

The 38-year-old added, "That's what I don't like. That's the part that really makes me emotional and gets me upset. When I have to squeeze my hands, because the Daddy protective in me is just like, 'Don't do that.' "

Of deactivating his Twitter account and Instagram comments, Brown said, "The hate started coming at me. And normally I can handle the hate, because I'm OK with having constructive conversations. But what I realized is that places like Twitter, you can’t have constructive conversations."

"It's the mob mentality. And so once the mob feels like they have their target, they're going to get you. … And then it was really the first tweet I saw where they @ my child as well, I was like -- Done! And I got off of it," he went on saying.

Brown, however, understood why people were mad over his remarks about Spicer. "I am not delusional. I'm with them," he told the host, adding, "You know, seeing someone lie to the American public and be a part of an administration that is hurting us, it was bad."

He also said that he called Spicer a "good guy" solely based off a "three-minute interaction" he had with Spicer. Insisting that he didn't regret his word choice, he said, "In our interaction, he was … a human being that was nice in that moment."
