AceShowbiz - Serena Williams' daughter has marked another milestone that no one will probably accomplish at her age. Alexis Olympia made her runway debut at her athlete mother's show at Metropolitan West in New York City on Tuesday, September 10. The fashion show was part of the New York Fashion Week that's currently taking place in the city.
Towards the end of her 2020 Spring/Summer show, Serena walked the runway as she held her 2-year-old daughter. The mother-daughter duo went matching in black, with the tennis star flaunting her toned legs in a snakeskin skirt that hit just above the knee and a sheer black top, black bra and black high top sneakers. She finished it off by letting her hair fall down.
On the other hand, Olympia looked totally adorable in a black top that she teamed with colorful shoes. Further adding cuteness to her look, the toddler had her hair piled into a high pony.
Some of Serena's celebrity friends attended the event to support the athlete. Among them was Kim Kardashian, who made a surprise appearance along with her best friend La La Anthony. The ladies took their seats in the front row beside Anna Wintour and were seen happily serving up smiles and kisses for the camera. Gayle King and Ashley Graham were also reportedly in the audience.
Serena gave birth to Olympia, whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, in September 2017. The five-time Wimbledon winner recently opened up about motherhood in a new interview, "I love being her mom, and it's such a great feeling. For me, she's the best thing that's happened to me and I've had so many amazing things happen to me, so... that's really saying a lot."
"The other day, we were at dinner and I'm like, 'How am I a mom?! How did that happen?' " she went on recalling. "I remember being pregnant, but it feels like a lifetime ago. I was just, like, hanging out with my friends, and I was like, 'I'm a mom! It's weird!' "
