The 'London Has Fallen' sequel easily wins on its second weekend as none of the new releases manage to crack the top ten at the end of summer movie season.

AceShowbiz - "Angel Has Fallen" is unmoved at the top of North American box office after debuting atop the chart last week. The action thriller starring Gerard Butler easily wins the competition with an estimated $11.6 million in the first three days of the four-day Labor Day weekend, as it faced no competition from newcomers.

Blumhouse Productions' horror thriller "Don't Let Go" starring David Oyelowo is the new release which is closest to the top ten at No. 14, with an estimated $2.4 million on its opening weekend. Meanwhile, "Spider-Man: Far from Home", which could be the last Spider-Man movie released by Sony in joint production with Disney, has crawled back to into the top ten, placing eighth with approximately $4.3 million. The movie sees 153.2% surge in ticket sales, likely due to the uproar over Sony's split with Disney.

The rest of the top five belongs to holdovers. "Good Boys" holds on to its second place with additional $9.2 million, followed by "The Lion King (2019)" which moves up two spots from No. 5 with an estimated $6.7 million. "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" stays steady at No. 4 with approximately $6.3 million, while "Overcomer" drops two places to No. 5 with additional $5.7 million.

With "Angel Has Fallen" easy win, summer box office officially ends on a sluggish note. The May-August revenue clocked in at $4.3 billion, down 2 percent from last year, according to Comscore. Year to date is down 6 percent.

Disney dominated summer at the movies, with films from the studio making up about half of all ticket sales in North America for the season. The studio racked up approximately $2.2 billion in domestic summer box office, greater than that of all the major studios combined.
