AceShowbiz - Lamar Odom has been announced to be one of the cast members who will be hitting the dance floor in upcoming season 28 of "Dancing with the Stars". While it's exciting to see the former L.A. Laker appearing on the show, one particular person apparently feels uneasy with his casting.
A source close to the Kardashian family reveals that "the Kardashians are a bit nervous and confused that Lamar wanted to join the 'Dancing with the Stars' cast." It is because "Lamar made it clear to the family he never wanted to be this big star, so to see him do something so public and out of his comfort zone is out of the ordinary."
It is reported that the momager doesn't want Lamar, who split from Khloe Kardashian nearly three years ago, to talk about his past relationship with the Good American Jeans founder. "Kris especially just doesn't want [Lamar] to keep talking about the family," adds the source. "She's worried about what he may say in [interviews] and what not that are filmed and she can't control that."
The insider goes on saying, "The show tends to dive deep into personal lives, and they were hoping since the book came out and the comments on the family died down a bit, that Lamar would lay low, but they know they'll be talked about on the show. It's safe to say they won't be tuning in."
Lamar and Khloe were married for seven years between 2009 and 2016. During their marriage, the former athlete starred on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" as well as two seasons of spin-off "Khloe & Lamar". He is now dating personal trainer Sabrina Parr. While gracing the "Dancing with the Stars" red carpet cast reveal on August 21, Lamar said that he hoped to see "my girl, Sabrina [Parr, 32,], and my kids as well, LJ [son, Lamar Odom Jr.] and [daughter] Destiny," in the stands supporting him.
