AceShowbiz - Liam Hemsworth finds comfort in the companion of Australian actress Isabel Lucas following his split from wife Miley Cyrus. The 29-year-old hunk has reportedly leaned on the 34-year-old actress for advice as he's going through the heartbreak of his doomed marriage.

According to Woman's Day, Liam and Isabel got connected as he's staying with his brother Chris Hemsworth in Byron Bay, in their native Australia. "Liam's in Byron staying with Chris. Isabel moves in the same social circles up there, and they've spent some time together," a source reveals.

The source goes on dishing, "They've become quite good friends. She's there to take his mind off things and she's been an excellent person to turn to for advice. She's in Europe at the moment and feels bad she's jetted out during the worst of it for Liam, but even so, she's been keeping in touch via text."

Now, Liam's inner circle is reportedly hopeful that the two will become more than friends. "Liam is absolutely the marrying type, it's just a shame he fell in love with Miley, who definitely wasn't," the source adds. "Liam's parents [Leonie and Craig], would love to see him settle down with someone who's more on the same page as him - an Aussie who loves the ocean, is a bit more mature and socially aware. Isabel ticks a lot of those boxes."

While it could be awkward given Isabel's history of love relationship with Liam's brother Chris, the "Thor" actor is reportedly supportive if his younger brother dates Isabel. "Chris would be thrilled if Liam dated someone as lovely as Isabel," says the insider.

Liam previously refused to comment on the end of his marriage to Miley when he was met by a Daily Mail Australia reporter in Australia. "You don't understand what it's like," he reportedly told the journalist. "I don't want to talk about it mate."

He later broke his Instagram silence by posting, "Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward." Stressing that "this is a private matter," he noted, "I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false."
