Rumors of the 'A Star Is Born' stars' romantic getaway started swirling after a blurry picture showed the 44-year-old actor sitting next to someone who was thought to be GaGa during a lunch in France.

AceShowbiz - Were Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper going on a vacation together? Not so fast. Recent reports claimed that the "A Star Is Born" stars had a romantic getaway in France, but the news has since been debunked and revealed as a case of mistaken identity.

The rumors started to spread online after the "American Hustle" star was spotted having a lunch with someone who was thought to be the 33-year-old singer/actress. Cooper and the person with long hair sat side-by-side in a table during lunch at Chateau La Coste in Provence.

A source told Mirror of the pair's alleged trip together, "Lady GaGa and Bradley were seen at breakfast together. They were together until 1 P.M., when they had lunch. They looked very cosy and were chatting away, but wouldn't pose for pictures together."

Turns out the person sitting next to the 44-year-old actor was not GaGa, but 60-year-old artist called Gucci, whose real name is Derek Rowen. They were joined by U2's frontman Bono, who is Gucci's lifelong pal, during the lunch.

A source tells The Sun, "Bradley hasn't seen her [GaGa] in months. He is good pals with Bono and met up with him and his friends, who include Guggi." The source adds of Cooper's recent trip to the European country, "He's just trying to enjoy a break in the sun."

Cooper and GaGa were first rumored to be romantically linked following their performance in 2018's drama musical "A Star Is Born". It was further fueled by their intimate performance at the 2019 Academy Awards in February.

Addressing the romance speculations, the Grammy Award-winning artist said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", "People saw love and, guess what, that's what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song. The movie, 'A Star Is Born', it's a love story." Insisting it was just acting, she added, "I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!"

But the rumors wouldn't die down and GaGa was blamed for the end of Cooper's relationship with his longtime partner Irina Shayk, when they were reported splitting up in June. However, the "Bad Romance" songstress put an end to the speculations after she was spotted kissing monitor engineer Dan Horton in July.
