One day after performing 'Met at a Party' with Jordan McGraw at the awards show, the 'Modern Family' actress garners praises for sharing a body positive message on social media.

AceShowbiz - Sarah Hyland opened up about her growing "self-confidence" after she ditched her Spanx shapewear for her performance at the Teen Choice Awards in California on Sunday (August 11).

The 28-year-old actress has spoken publicly in the past about her endometriosis struggle and her diagnosis for kidney dysplasia, a condition in which the organs do not form properly while in the womb.

As a result of multiple surgeries, Hyland's stomach is somewhat distended and the actress has previously spoken about her decision to wear two pairs of shapewear pants to help disguise her bulging stomach area.

On Sunday, however, the "Modern Family" star ditched her Spanx and the following day took to social media to speak about the nerve-wracking experience.

"A final thank you to my ever changing self confidence for making the decision to not wear spanx and let my KUPA (kidney upper p***y area) shine like the bada** b***h she is," she wrote on Instagram sharing a photo captured from the event.

At the event Hyland made her TV debut with a performance of her track "Met at a Party", for which she teamed up with pop star Jordan McGraw.

"Yesterday I had my first nationally televised performance of a song I did with the amazing @jordanmcgraw," she shared, adding, "I was terrified. I was excited. There was a PHENOMENAL crowd supporting us the entire way through."

She also got support from friends in the industry, with Lily Collins commenting, "Yeassss girl. So proud." Actress Michelle Monaghan agreed, adding, "Yep. Everything about you is badass."

Meanwhile, her "Modern Family" co-star Sofia Vergara sent several heart-hugging emojis

"Met at a Party", featuring Jordan McGraw, is out now.
