AceShowbiz - A$AP Rocky made his first triumphant appearance on stage on Sunday, August 11 night, following his release from a Swedish jail.
The "Praise the Lord (Da Shine)" rapper, real name Rakim Mayers, appeared at the Real Street Festival in Anaheim, California, alongside his pal Tyler, the Creator, his first performance since he returned home to the U.S. after a judge in Stockholm agreed he and two associates could walk free from jail while he considered sentencing for assault charges against them.
Since his arrest, he has missed festival appearances in Norway, Poland, Ireland, England, and Germany, among others, but he finally returned to the stage at the event held at The Honda Center.
"I just want to say, what I experienced it's crazy. I'm so happy to be here y'all don't even understand," the emotional star said as he spoke to the crowd, reported the Daily Mirror. "Y'all know how happy I am to be here right now."
"While I was away - hold the mosh pits a minute... this is a sentimental moment!" he urged his excited fans. "That was a scary and humbling experience but God is good."
"People that I don't even f**king know was reaching out. Hip-hop never felt so good man. This my first performance since I been out. When I was locked up we used to play the radio and I heard my brother A$AP Ferg's song all the way in Sweden. I want to hear that song."
"Rocky is home!" Tyler shouted at the end of their song together.
Swedish Senior District Court Judge Per Lennerbrant set Rocky and his two associates free at the end of a three-day trial, while announcing he would start sentencing on August 14.
