In a fiery response to the Fox Nation host's immigration tweet, the 'Avengers: Endgame' star points out that he 'would carry his kid through fire if it meant escaping hell.'

AceShowbiz - Chris Evans has hit back at conservative commentator Tomi Lahren fter she criticised immigrant parents for trying to cross the border into the United States of America.

The 26-year-old pundit tweeted on Tuesday, July 30, "If you traipse your kid 2,000 miles in dangerous conditions you're not only a criminal, you're a sh**ty parent," in reference to presidential candidate Bernie Sanders' recent discussion about immigrant parents feeling they have no option but to make treacherous journeys with their children in the hope of a better life.

The following day the 38-year-old "Avengers: Endgame" star replied, "Wow. The complete lack of sympathy, respect, and general awareness is astonishing. Also, I would carry my kid through fire if it meant escaping hell."

Chris Evans hit back at Tomi Lahren.

A reported 2,000 unaccompanied children are being held in U.S. Customs and Border Protection centres, reported editors at Insider. And Lahren's tweet comes amid increased criticism of President Donald Trump and his administration's treatment of undocumented immigrants detained at the border with families being separated, and widespread reports of children being held, in some cases in cages, without proper care, food or access to showers.

It's not the first time Evans and Lahren have voiced opposing views.

The "Captain America: The First Avenger" actor recently blasted the organisation Super Happy Fun America, after they attempted to mount a pride parade for heterosexuals in Boston, believing "straight people are an oppressed majority".

Chris Evans blasted Super Happy Fun America for planning to mount a pride parade for heterosexual.

"Wow! Cool initiative, fellas!!" Chris tweeted, after Lahren rallied behind the three men. "Just a thought, instead of 'Straight Pride' parade, how about this: The 'desperately trying to bury our own gay thoughts by being homophobic because no one taught us how to access our emotions as children' parade? 'Whatta ya think? Too on the nose??".
