When talking about possible setting for future installments, screenwriter Chris Morgan explains that he is down for anything as long as it is 'badass' and 'awesome.'

AceShowbiz - The writer behind five "Fast and Furious" films and the "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" spin-off is considering taking the franchise into space.

Screenwriter Chris Morgan is open to setting a future instalment of the blockbuster series miles above earth.

"I would never shoot down space," Morgan tells Entertainment Weekly. "Never, never. I would literally never shoot down anything, as long as it hits the parameters: 'Is it badass? Is it awesome? Will the audience love it? And will it not break faith with the audience as they're watching it?' I'm down for whatever."

In total, there have been eight films in the racing hit, with two more follow-ups currently in development.

"Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" hits U.S. cinemas on 2 August.
