In related news, series creators Matt and Ross Duffer talk about what will happen in the next season and how much they have planned for it, if they ever decide to make one.

AceShowbiz - It's just days after Netflix released season 3 of "Stranger Things", and fans are already talking about a potential season 4. The streaming giant has yet to renew the popular sci-fi series to season 4, and fans are speculating whether or not they will have another season of their favorite show. A new report regarding the matter has found itself online, though it seems like they won't be too happy to hear the news.

According to WGTC, "Stranger Things" will return for season 4. However, the site further states that the next season of the series will also serve as its last.

"Evidently, the original idea was to end the show after five seasons, but that seems to have been scrapped as so the whole 'kids vs evil' hook can stay 'kids vs evil' and not 'young adults vs evil' if you know what I mean," notes the outlet. "Of course, this is just a rumor at this point in time but we will make sure to keep up to date on what's going on behind the scenes of the hit Netflix series and pass along word as we hear it."

In related news, series creators Duffer Brothers talk about what will happen in the next season, if they ever decide to make one. "Assuming there's a season four, obviously the question of who that American is in that cell and then also what they're doing with the Demogorgon is a tease," Ross Duffer tells Entertainment Weekly. "That's obviously going to play a huge role in a potential season four."

Fans assume that the said "American" is David Harbour's presumably dead Jim Hopper. It is highly speculated that the character somehow survives the explosion and will return for the next season, if there is one.

Matt Duffer adds, "I think the biggest thing that's going to happen is it's going to open up a little bit, not necessarily in terms of scale, in terms of special effects, but open up in terms of allowing portals into areas outside of Hawkins."

The duo also admit that they still have planned much for the potential new season. "We don't know a lot, but we do know a lot of the big broad strokes," shares Ross. "At the end of season two, we knew about Billy. We knew that the Russians were going to come in. We didn't know the mall and stuff, but again, we know these big broad strokes."

"That's sort of where we are in season four. We have the big broad strokes. It's just now about filling in those lines in the details. We're pretty excited about where it's potentially going to go. Again, like we said, it's going to feel very different than this season. But I think that’s the right thing to do and I think it'll be exciting," he continues explaining.
