A so-called friend of the 34-year-old conservative Republican claims that she is considering to reject ABC's offer to return for the talk show's 23rd season next September.

AceShowbiz - Meghan McCain's stint on "The View" may end soon. If a new report is to be believed, the 34-year-old TV personality is planning to exit the ABC daytime show because it's taking a toll on her emotionally.

A so-called friend of the conservative Republican told The Daily Beast that she is considering to reject ABC's offer to return for the talk show's 23rd season next September. Despite earning under a million dollars a year on the highly rated daytime program, Meghan is allegedly feeling emotionally drained, angry and isolated.

It was said that Meghan was "feeling like a caged animal." The source went on saying that she felt "so exhausted and defeated" after joining the show for two seasons.

"It's getting to the point where it's not worth the emotional toll every week," the pal, who asked not to be further identified, added. "If she doesn't stay at 'The View', she will find other work."

The Arizona native has been making headlines with onscreen banter with fellow co-host. Most recently, she yelled at Joy Behar during a heated argument about Donald Trump. "Don't feel bad for me, b****!" she said to Joy. Additionally, she faced backlash back in April after telling Joy that part of her job "is to listen to me."

While Meghan refused to comment on the report, "The View" senior executive producer Hilary Estey McLoughlin said, "We don't want people to attack Meghan. We're happy to have Meghan there. I think she does want to be there. I think she wants to be on the show. She realizes it's a very good platform for her and we love having her there. I feel like she will come back." She, however, admitted that negative stories about Meghan "don't seem to go away."

"What happens with Meghan is that because she's so passionate about what she's talking about, and she feels very strongly that she's carrying this mantle for the conservative perspective, and what she wants to talk about is so important to her, I think that's the part that’s the most draining for her," Hilary added.
