AceShowbiz - Ahead of San Diego Comic-Con 2019 this month, Netflix has treated fans with a slew of first-look images of "The Witcher". Coming from Henry Cavill's Instagram account on Monday, July 1, the photos featured a look at the actor's character Geralt as well as other characters.

One photo gave a close-up look at Geralt's brooding side view, while another post featured his very strong-looking behind as he stood at the stone while staring at the vast ocean. He had one sword on his back.

"The worst monsters are the ones we create," read the tagline in the animated poster.

Not stopping there, Cavill further reveals the front look at his character. The image saw Geralt standing on a hill with one of his hands holding his sword. Dany Garciaco wrote in the comment section, "Can I just say YAAAAAAAAASSSSSS." Another fan added, "IM DYING I AM SO EXCITEDDDDD," though some other were wondering where the second sword was.

Fans were also offered first-look images of Ciri (Freya Allan) and Yennefer (Anya Cholatra).

Produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, "The Witcher" is adapted from the fantasy book series by Andrzej Sapkowski, which has been previously translated into various properties, including a best-selling video game series. It centers on the adventures Geralt of Rivia, a genetically enhanced human trained to be a monster hunter, better known as a witcher.

"The Witcher" is set to premiere later in 2019. The first trailer of the highly-anticipated series is expected to be dropped during the show's panel at the SDCC on July 19.
