Seeing her dramatic new look, fans of the 28-year-old 'Anna Wintour' female emcee start assuming that her alter ego, Yung Rapunxel, will be making her return.

AceShowbiz - Azealia Banks often switches up her look from time to time, but her latest makeover might be her most dramatic one yet. The "Anna Wintour" femcee traded her short black hair for a long rainbow-colored hair. Further adding to her wild look were a pair of pink-colored eye contacts that she sported in a recent Instagram selfie.

In the photo, Azealia additionally sported a yellow strappy outfit and a gold necklace to complete her style. She wrote in the caption, "About to do something strange with my makeup but not sure what... stay tuned... may also just smoke a joint and write some raps but we'll see if I feel like washing my makeup brushes."

Seeing her dramatic makeover, people in the comment section started assuming that her alter ego, Yung Rapunxel, is making a comeback. For those who don't know about Rapunxel, Azealia adopted the character since she wrote "212". Her alter ego was adapted from her referring to herself as Rapunzel dur to her long weave that she wore during her time working at Starbucks as a teenager.

Azealia said of Rapunxel in an interview with Rolling Stone, "Yung Rapunxel is that girl who pisses people off but doesn't really mean to. She's actually a sweetheart! But people are so taken aback that she's so herself, she's not even trying to be unique or different. She literally just lives in her head; she does what she wants to do. So, the lipstick is here for someone who is happy to be themselves."

Back in 2013, Azealia also released a song titled "Yung Rapunxel" which served as the lead single off her debut album "Broke with Expensive Taste". Receiving favorable reviews from music critics, the song interpolated vocals from the 2001 hit "No More Dream" by Mary J. Blige.
