AceShowbiz - Even though La La Anthony's birthday has passed a few days ago, that didn't stop her from celebrating the occasion with her friends at Premier Nightclub at Borgata, Atlantic City in New Jersey over the weekend. However, one thing that's worth mentioning is the fact that her husband Carmelo Anthony was nowhere to be seen at the bash.
Despite that, the "Power" actress appeared to be in high spirits and was all smiles as she mingled with her pals during the party. For the occasion, she looked stunning in a figure-hugging mentallic dress that featured a one-shoulder design. She teamed her look with a pair of strappy heels, a pair of triangle earrings and a neon pedicure. La La styled her hair into a high ponytail.
Considering the ongoing cheating rumors surrounding Carmelo, his absence from the bash surely made people speculate that there was really a trouble in paradise. The basketball player was recently seen enjoying a yatch ride in French with a mystery woman, who is later identified as model Sara Smiri. Although Carmelo insisted at the time that the woman who was with him is married, Sara is, in fact, not.
La La herself appeared to confirm the cheating rumor by posting on Instagram Stories a picture of a knife stabbing a heart as blood dripped. She deleted her post shortly afterward.
Recently, Us Weekly reported that La La and Carmelo's marriage is "strained" following the cheating scandal. A source told the publication, "Things between La La and Carmelo are strained. It has been difficult for La La to move past the infidelities, the child out of wedlock … Thise actions rocked La La to her core."
The insider went on saying that the "ATL" actress was "seeking therapy on her own to work through her trust issues" to figure out her marriage. "She [is going] to gain a better understanding of her own feelings and what is realistically possible for their family as they move forward."
