During her appearance on 'Emerging Hollywood', the former star of 'Power' admits that although she hopes to find love again, she thinks that maybe it was not in the cards for her.

AceShowbiz - Will La La Anthony dip her toe in the dating pool once more? After going through "tough" divorce from Carmelo Anthony in June 2021, the former star of "Power" revealed in a new interview that she did not feel "confident" about finding love again.
During her appearance on The Hollywood Reporter's series "Emerging Hollywood", the MTV VJ reflected on love and life. "Sometimes I'm like, maybe it's just not in the cards for me," she admitted to host Charlamagne Tha God when talking about getting into a new relationship after ending her 11 years of marriage. "Maybe an incredible son and an incredible career is like - that's for me, you know?"
"I definitely pray that it will happen, but I'm also at a place where if it doesn't, then I'm gonna still have fun. I have great friends. I have great family. I'm not lacking," La La further explained. "I would love it. But it's just, it's slim pickings. It's hard to trust when you've been scarred in a sense..."
The TV personality, however, noted that she is working on herself. "I'm in therapy. I'm dealing with my own stuff," she stated, "And I would love to find love and a companion to do fun stuff with and someone I can rely on."
In November 2021, La La had also touched on the topic of new relationship. "I am just really about self-love and taking care of myself. Obviously, my son, Kiyan, is 14, in high school, he is my priority," the 39-year-old star told Entertainment Tonight, "But I'm really just about tapping into me and what do I like to do and what do I enjoy."
La La hinted that the only relationship she was excited to get into at that moment was with herself. "It has always been about everyone else but me and this year I kind of want to make it a little bit about me," she said. When asked about future romantic relationship, she simply said, "We'll see what happens."
