Lil Nas X urges people to listen to his song 'C7osure (You Like)' on WorldPride Day.

The song includes lyrics like "Ain't no more actin', man that forecast say I should just let me grow/ No more red light for me, baby, only green, I gotta go/ Pack my past up in the back, oh, let my future take ahold/ This is what I gotta do, can't be regrettin' when I'm old."

According to Genius, the lyrics to "C7osure" are interpreted as "Nas telling someone he loves (maybe, his fans or his family) that he needs to grow, even if their worries are still holding him back." Some fans suggested that the line "This is what I gotta do, can't be regrettin' when I'm old" is about Lil Nas X being open to public about his sexuality.

The Atlanta-born emcee has since received supportive messages from his followers. "Pretty brave tbh considering your fan base is mostly hetero men. Congrats," one wrote. YouTuber James Charles weighed in, "really happy for u dude."

Another added, "Proud of you! Sorry you had to deal with the people trying to force you to say it before you were ready, but I'm so glad you were still able to do it on your own terms!" Someone else similarly wrote, "I’m so proud of you Nas...diamond record, topping charts and making history for people like us. You are so brave & we supporting til the END."
