With this latest accomplishment from his crossover hit, the Atlanta rapper keeps Taylor Swift off the pole position on the Billboard countdown for the second time in a month.

AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" hit has become only the 20th song to spend at least 12 weeks at the top of America's Billboard Hot 100 countdown.

The track, which the rapper performed at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (June 23), becomes the first to spend 12 weeks at number one since Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber went on to spend 16 weeks on top with "Despacito" in 2017.

Lil Nas X's crossover hit keeps Taylor Swift off the top of the charts for the second time in a month as her "You Need to Calm Down" hits number two. She previously had to settle for a runner-up spot when "ME!" also missed out on pole position.

The new track gives Swift her 24th top 10, making her one of only 12 artists to achieve that feat.

Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" drops a spot to three on the new chart, while Khalid's "Talk" and Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's "I Don't Care" round out the top five.

Meanwhile, Drake's new track "Money in the Grave" has given the rapper his 35th top 10 hit, breaking a tie with The Beatles for the second-most top 10s in the Billboard Hot 100's six-decade history.

"Money in the Grave", featuring Rick Ross, debuts at seven.

Only Madonna has more Hot 100 top 10s than Drake, with 38.
