Days after informing fans she had just spent one night in hospital with seven-month-old Banks, the 'Younger' star reveals that her second child fell ill from an infected bug bite on her face.

AceShowbiz - Hilary Duff's seven-month-old baby daughter is recovering well after she was hospitalised due to an infected bug bite.

The new mum spent Sunday night, June 09 in hospital after her baby girl Banks Violet fell ill but the star tells Us Weekly, her little one is doing much better.

"She's fine," the "Younger" star told the website on Wednesday, June 12. "She just had a little bug bite on her face, and it had a little infection".

The 31 year old also praised the staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

"They were really good. It was a long night in the hospital, but it was fine," she shared. "She's happy and on the mend, and she looks great".

Duff documented the difficult evening for fans on Monday, taking to her Instagram Story account to share a photo of herself looking bedraggled after the long hospital visit.

"I actually have Banks' vomit in my hair and I may or may not have the energy to bathe after a day with a sick baby and a night at the hospital," she captioned the shot. "All I want is to watch Handmaids (Tale) ughhhhh (sic)".

Duff, who became engaged to Bank's father Matthew Koma last month, is also mum to seven-year-old son Luca, with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.
