Hours after declaring Jay-Z as first hip-hop billionaire, Forbes reports that the 'Diamonds' hitmaker has amassed $600 million fortune from her successful fashion endeavors.

The singer's reported $600 million (£473 million) fortune far outweighs those collected by fellow one-name stars Madonna and Beyonce Knowles.

Forbes bosses named the 31-year-old their rich list leader hours after declaring her mentor, Jay-Z, rap's first billionaire.

Rihanna's successful fashion endeavours and and her partnership with French luxury goods giant LVMH helped swell her fortunes, with her Fenty Beauty line of cosmetics really shaking up the cosmetics business over the past 18 months, racking up over $570 million (£449 million) in sales.
