The 'Dreams' hitmaker lightheartedly reveals the real reason why he has to settle with watching Game 2 between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors stateside.

AceShowbiz - Rapper The Game is still banned from entering Canada, eight years after he was stopped by border officials for his gang affiliation.

The "Dreams" hitmaker revealed the news on Sunday night, June 02, after having to settle with watching the NBA Finals Game 2 between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors at a bar in Los Angeles, instead of joining fellow hip-hop star Drake courtside at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

"I can't even get into Canada," The Game told TMZ. "I can't even go to the game... because I'm a gangster."

The 39 year old was briefly detained by Canadian immigration authorities back in 2011, and subsequently deported back to the U.S. due to his ties with Los Angeles' Bloods gang.

And although the ongoing travel ban means he cannot attend the Raptors' home games in Canada, The Game is just happy to witness a worthy match-up, after the Warriors managed to even the series 1-1 after securing a 109 to 104 win over the Raptors.

"It's a good series, man," he said, before adding, "You know the Warriors gonna pull it off!"

The NBA Finals will continue with Games 3 and 4 at the Warriors' home arena in Oakland, California on Wednesday, June 05, and Friday.
