AceShowbiz - One of the cat stars of the recent "Pet Sematary" remake has died.
Leo the Cat was one of two rescues chosen to play Church in the latest film adaptation of Stephen King's classic horror story, and he, along with other shelter pets used onscreen, ended up finding a forever home with members of the cast and crew after production wrapped.
"Pet Sematary" animal co-ordinator Kirk Jarrett adopted Leo himself, but on Wednesday, May 29, he announced the furry feline had died.
"It is with great sadness that we tell you that Leo has passed away," he wrote in a post on the cat's own Instagram page.
"He will forever be missed by his human and fur family. May his star always shine bright."
The Maine Coon had been the cat featured on posters for the 2019 release, which starred Jason Clarke, John Lithgow, and Amy Seimetz.
