Despite his hesitation before filming the movie, the 'Men In Black: International' star says his role in the 2016 female-led reboot is one of his favorite to date.

AceShowbiz - When "Ghostbusters (2016)" was met with criticisms about the female-led cast, Chris Hemsworth had his own doubt about the Paul Feig-directed reboot. The Aussie hunk opens up in a new interview with Variety that he almost pulled out of the movie one day before he started filming.
"The night before I was shooting, I almost pulled out," Hemsworth says. The 35-year-old actor reveals the script was the main issue, explaining, "Three or four weeks prior, Paul said to me, 'I'm going to write up the character. Don't worry.' And then I got the script and nothing had changed."
He goes on sharing, "I was really scared walking onto that set. I had no real plan, so I was just feeding off of them, and I just felt ridiculous. So I used that." Despite his hesitation at first, Hemsworth says the role is one of his favorite to date.
As he's willing to return for a "Ghostbusters" sequel, Hemsworth also defends the movie against online fanboys who attacked the reboot. "That whole period I was like, 'What ownership do you guys have over those characters?' " he says. "Oh, you watched the film, therefore you should have a say over where it goes? I thought it was very unfortunate and kind of disappointing."
It's another case with the next "Star Trek" movie. The Marvel Cinematic Universe star admits he turned down the offer to reprise his role as George Kirk in the upcoming sequel because he wasn't sold on the script. "I didn't feel like we landed on a reason to revisit that yet," he reasons. "I didn't want to be underwhelmed by what I was going to bring to the table."
In the same interview, Hemsworth is also asked about his name being thrown as a possible contender to be the next James Bond. While he's open to the possibility, his bet is on another contender. "My vote would be Idris [Elba]," he says. "I think he'd give it a different sort of swagger, too, and each time someone new comes into the role, I think you've got to offer up something different."
