Stylists for the 'Let You Love Me' singer reportedly realized that the loaned diamond necklace had been left behind after the plane was back in the air, leaving Nice for Luton Airport.

AceShowbiz - Rita Ora was almost left gem-less for a recent event at the Cannes Film Festival after her courier accidentally left $4 million (£3.2 million) worth of jewellery on a plane.

Her stylists panicked after discovering the loaned designer jewels Rita was set to wear for a promotional appearance at a Magnum ice cream party last week, ends May 17, had been left behind at an airport in Nice.

According to the AFP, the delivery woman only realised her carry-on luggage was missing when the plane was already back in the air, returning to Luton Airport, near London.

"Someone with their head in the clouds nearly lost several million," a police source quipped, explaining the precious cargo was successfully recovered at Luton and flown back to Nice on another aircraft from London's Heathrow Airport.

The "Let You Love Me" hitmaker has yet to comment on the close call, but she was later photographed modelling a stunning diamond necklace with a strapless white dress for a Magnum bash on 16 May.
