In a candid Instagram post, the 'Gonna Love Me' singer reveals while she is excited to perform in a sold-out show as part of Red Bull Music Festival, she is still grieving over the death of her loved one.

AceShowbiz - R&B star Teyana Taylor is trying to summon up the strength to deliver a top performance at a sold-out show in New York City a day after losing her great-grandmother.

The "Gonna Love Me" singer is billed to take over Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom on Wednesday night, May 15, as part of the Red Bull Music Festival New York, but in a candid post on Instagram, she revealed that her motivation for the high-profile event has been hit by the family death.

"Today is already a very bittersweet day for me....," she wrote beside a poster advertising the gig. "As I am very excited for tonight's concert, I am also hoping the lord gives me the strength to pull thru & show out for my great nan as I know she'll be watching from above & will keep my covered (sic)...."

She went on to thank fans for their well wishes, adding: "I appreciate all the love, support & prayers. I (love) you guys and will see you all tonight!"

Teyana first shared her grief over her great-grandmother's death on Tuesday, when she posted a photo of herself hugging her late loved one.

"The last thing I wanted to wake up to...," read the caption. "Rip to my great grandma Nan... my heart can't take it smh (shaking my head) I am extremely overwhelmed with all that is happening (sic)".
