AceShowbiz - This year's Mother's Day is special for Meghan Markle as she celebrates the special day as a mom. The Duchess of Sussex, who welcomed her and Prince Harry's first son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor last week, took to Instagram to share a new photo of the royal baby.

The Sunday, May 12 image didn't feature the baby's face but only showed his adorable feet. Meghan, who was wearing bright nail polish, touched her little bundle of joy's feet with care.

"Paying tribute to all mothers today - past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honor and celebrate each and every one of you," read the caption. "Today is Mother's Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe."

The new image also saw Meghan honoring Prince Harry's late mother Princess Diana. The image featured forget-me-not flowers, Princess Diana's favorite, in the background. Royal reporter Victoria Murphy said on Twitter, "Prince Diana's favourite flower, forget-me-nots in the background of this image."

Archie was born on Monday, May 6, weighing in at 7 lbs, 3 ounces. The baby Sussex is seventh in line to the British throne and is the Queen's eighth great-grandchild. Harry and Meghan debuted their son to the world on Wednesday via a small photo call at Windsor Castle, where their new home of Frogmore Cottage is located. They offered a glimpse of the child's face during the photo call as he was wrapped in a baby shawl and wore a wool hat.

"They are so incredibly grateful for the warm wishes and support they've received from everyone around the world, since welcoming their son two days ago," a statement previously said of the new parents.

Through their joint Instagram account, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also posted a black-and-white picture of Meghan introducing Archie to Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip and her mother Doria Ragland.
