News of the 'Zeze' rapper's arrest comes after he reportedly offered to pay for the funeral of Kendrick Castillo, who died protecting fellow students during the shooting at a Colorado STEM school.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Kodak Black was reportedly arrested by police backstage at Rolling Loud festival in Miami moments before he was about to perform on Saturday, May 11.

As the 21-year-old rapper arrived at Rolling Loud on Saturday, local and federal agents from the Miami-Dade Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were waiting for him, armed with both state and federal warrants, TMZ reports.

Kodak was arrested and taken to a police station, and will be hauled in front of a judge in Miami, Florida on Monday.

According to TMZ, all of the warrants he was arrested on were related to firearms.

The rapper, who goes by the name Bill K. Kapri, had previously been arrested on drugs and weapons charges when he tried to enter the U.S. from Canada in April.

The news overshadows the report that the rapper recently offered to pay for the funeral of Kendrick Castillo, the young man who recently died protecting his fellow students during the shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch in Denver, Colorado.

According to The Blast, Kodak's attorney, Bradford Cohen, sent a message on behalf of the star to the 18-year-old's parents that praised the "amazing young man" who "represents the inherent good in people."

Along with the funeral, Kodak has set aside $10,000 (£7,700) for an annual scholarship in Castillo's name that will be used to fund "a student going to college wanting to study in the science and engineering areas."
