Samantha Smith's attempt to be Emani's temporary guardian has been shot down as a Los Angeles judge advises her to give notice to the little girl's mother about a scheduled hearing.

AceShowbiz - Late rapper Nipsey Hussle's sister has been denied temporary guardianship of his daughter Emani.
The "Victory Lap" star, real name Ermias Asghedom, was fatally shot in Los Angeles on March 31, leaving Emani and his son Kross without a father.
Earlier this week (April 29), almost a month after his death, his sister Samantha Smith filed a petition to get an emergency order for temporary guardianship of Emani in Los Angeles County Superior Court. She wanted to put it in place to enable her to make legal custody decisions in an effort to ensure Emani maintains close ties with her dad's side of the family.
According to The Blast, a judge has denied her request to be appointed Emani's temporary guardian. The ruling stated, "No urgency demonstrated for granting this relief prior to hearing on May 14th."
The judge also urged Samantha to give Emani's mother Tanisha notice of the hearing.
Just weeks before Nipsey's passing, he treated his little girl to a trip to the Grammy Awards, where she posed on the red carpet alongside her father, who also attended with his girlfriend, model/actress Lauren London, the mother of his two-year-old boy Kross.
The ruling comes as TMZ reports that the memorial to Nipsey outside his Marathon Clothing store, where he was shot, is being removed as fans trying to pay their respects are being hounded by hustlers selling bootleg goods and those close to Nipsey felt it was becoming disrespectful.
