AceShowbiz - The cast members of "Tolkien" gathered at the Curzon Mayfair in London, England on Monday, April 19 ahead of the biopic's May 10 release in the United States. Among those who stole attention with their look was lead actress Lily Collins, who portrayed J.R.R. Tolkien's lifelong love and wife Edith Bratt in the movie.
The British beauty looked stunning and ethereal in a white floral dress from Giambattista Valli, teaming it with statement earrings and colorful makeup. The exquisite gown featured a strapless neckline, clinched waist and fishtail hem that helped Collins flaunt her slender figure perfectly. Completing her look for the night were a pair of sky-scraper Louboutin heels.
Joining her on the green carpet was Nicholas Hoult, who played the titular character. The "Warm Bodies" actor looked handsome in a navy pinstripe suit which he teamed with a pale blue shirt and a matching bow tie. Other stars who showed up at the premiere included David Tennant and Claudia Wilkelman.
Directed by Dome Karukoski, "Tolkien" explores the formative years of J.R.R. Tolkin as he finds his friendship, courage and inspiration among a fellow group of writers and artists at school. Their brotherhood strengthens as they grow up and weather love and loss together. It also includes Tolkien's tumultuous courtship of his beloved Edith Bratt, until the outbreak of the First World War which threatens to tear their fellowship apart.
Collins previously said of of her character in the movie, "She was very creative and very passionate and driven, and he was intellectually stimulated by her, at the time women of her status and in her position weren't really afforded the opportunity to seek higher. I did worry that people were going to be like, 'Well, she is actually British, her accent should really be better, there's an extra level of pressure. I worked with a dialect coach as I needed it to be absolutely spot on."
