AceShowbiz - John Cena has officially joined the "Fast and the Furious" film franchise. Vin Diesel has confirmed the WWE superstar's involvement in upcoming "Fast and Furious 9" through his recent Instagram update.

The Dominic Toretto depicter took to his Instagram account to share a video which featured him saying, "Guys, as you know, I'm always thinking fast, and thinking about the responsibility of making something iconic and deserving of your loyalty."

"I know this sounds crazy, but every blue moon I feel like Pablo up there sends me someone. Another soldier in the fight for truth. Today, someone came by Toretto Gym that speaks to what Pablo would have brought," he added. Later, the camera panned to Vin's right to reveal John who stood beside him. "All love. Always."

Vin captioned the video, "Thank you Pablo," referring to the character who was portrayed by his late co-star Paul Walker.

It remains to be seen what character that John will be playing in the new installment of the famous franchise. Fans, however, assume that the "Bumblebee" actor will fill the void left by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Luke Hobbs).

"Fast and Furious 9" is set to be helmed by Justin Lin, who served behind the lens for the third, fourth, fifth and sixth entries in the franchise. The movie eyes a 2020 release.
