In the latest episode of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills', the 48-year-old former fashion model tearfully says, 'I just feel like I f**ked up a lot with their dad.'

AceShowbiz - It's been more than ten years since Denise Richards split from Charlie Sheen, but the memories of their rocky marriage still successfully make her cry. The former fashion model got emotional when recalling her marriage to the actor in the latest episode of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills".

Chatting with her current husband Aaron Phypers, Denise tearfully said, "It's surreal when you start to see your kids become adults. It makes me cry. I just feel like I f**ked up a lot with their dad. I don't want them to look back at their childhood and remember [arguments]."

"My girls have been through a lot," she continued. "How I chose to relate to the dysfunction that was going on with their father was to hide it from the kids. I don't know if I did a disservice or not... It just made me realize how fast it goes. Life is so short, and their childhood is so short."

Denise and Charlie were married from June 2002 to November 2006. Following a series of messy battles involving their children, Sam and Lola, the former couple finally put aside their differences to co-parent their daughters. At the time, the "Two and a Half Men" alum said, "We had to do what's best for the girls."

Co-parenting obviously wasn't an easy thing to do. Denise opened up about its difficulties during the after-show interview of "RHOBH", admitting that it got harder when her children are now teenagers.

"It's hard raising teenagers, especially in Los Angeles. It's a very different thing, growing up here," she said. "I think a lot of parents who are divorced are probably going through this. Especially when they become teenagers. It's really difficult. If they are gonna experiment with drugs, it's usually then. Or alcohol. Or have sex for the first time."
