The British actress also talks about how her character will 'go behind a few backs and risks tearing apart her family' in the forthcoming eighth and final season.

AceShowbiz - It's only days before highly-anticipated season 8 of "Game of Thrones" premieres on HBO. The new and final season of the hit HBO series will definitely feature some epic moments, including Sansa Stark's (Sophie Turner) first encounter with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). This will play a big role in Sansa's storyline, with Sophie hinting that it will result in the strained relationship between her and Jon Snow (Kit Harington).

"Her relationship with Jon is struggling because he's so clearly in love with Daenerys and believes in her completely," Sophie says in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. "Sansa thinks she's power-hungry and not the rightful queen. There's a huge amount of fighting between Sansa and Jon."

One other thing that Sansa is not happy about Dany is her dragons. "She's not initially impressed," Sophie goes on saying of her character. "She's not happy because she's going to have to feed these dragons. They require a lot of food and they have limited resources."

During the interview, the British actress also talks about her character's new role as the leader of Winterfell. "Sansa this season is very much enjoying becoming a leader in her own right and the leader of Winterfell," she explains. "And this year there are certain challenges of people who come into her life that threaten that. She has to go behind a few backs and risks tearing apart her family."

When asked if she's missing "Game of Thrones" yet, Sophie responds, "I don't think it's hit me at all. I don't think it will hit me until summer comes around and we're supposed to be filming again and we won't be going to Belfast. I've really been just enjoying time off. I've been taking months off to just do nothing, and that's been healing."

The eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" premieres on Sunday, April 14 at 9 P.M. on HBO.
