AceShowbiz - Even though Avicii has left the world, his life and legacy live on. Days before the one-year anniversary of his death, fans are blessed with the first posthumous release from the late record produced. Released on Wednesday, April 10, "SOS" serves as the lead single off his upcoming posthumous LP "Tim" and features Aloe Blacc, who once collaborated with him on hit song "Wake Me Up".

Backed by synths that tumble over drums beat, the track details some of Avicii's personal struggles, including drug usage and struggles with love. Blacc flawlessly expresses the poignant part of the song as he sings, "I get robbed of all my sleep/ As my thoughts begin to bleed/ I'd let go, but I don't know how/ Yeah, I don't know how, but I need to know."

Besides Avicii, the track was produced by Albin Nedler and Kristoffer Fogelmark, who opened up about the challenges of completing the song in a statement. "Afterwards, finishing them was... I just get paralyzed by talking about it, but everything was about completing Tim's [Avicii's real name] version," Fogelmark said.

Nedler added, "He had a completely different way of playing piano and keyboard. As a result of his fingers would sometimes strike an unusual key, which added to his unique sound. Tim's fingerprints are literally across the entirety of 'SOS'."

As for Blacc, he said of the song, "I feel like 'SOS' was a song that was probably ahead of its time for when he wrote it. He wrote these lyrics obviously about some of his battles, and I think it's really important topic to approach and to share, especially with his visibility and his access to ears and hearts: To give people the words to be able to say 'I need help.' "

Besides "SOS", "Tim" will include contributions from the likes of Chris Martin of Coldplay and Carl Falk. The album, which was roughly 90 percent finished when Avicii died in Oman last year, is due out on June 6.
