AceShowbiz - It's been several months since Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino entered prison for tax evasion, so fans have been wondering what the TV personality has been doing behind the bars. Luckily, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino provided an update for curious fans when they stopped by "The Jenny McCarthy Show" on Wednesday, April 10.

Explaining that both of them had been talking to their "Jersey Shore" co-star every day, Vinny said that Mike is "the exact same" as before. Paul then added that Mike made a new best friend during his prison stay, and that person was Billy McFarland, who founded the disgraced Fyre Festival. "The play Scrabble together," he said, to which host Jenny quipped back, "Tell Mike he's got to get as much information on the Fyre Festival. He can write two books."

It turns out Billy isn't the only famous friend that Mike has made behind bars. According to Vinny, the former contestant of "Dancing with the Stars" is "also there with the guy that leaked Jennifer Lawrence's nudes that hacked her phone." Learning this, Jenny jokingly said, "Imagine what he's learning in there!" to which Paul replied back, "He's learning how to hack phones!"

Mike's new friends aside, Paul reaffirmed that the former "is in such good spirits" in prison. He said of his "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" co-star, "He sees Lauren his wife once a week and he has so much to come to. He has a job -- he'll be filming -- so he just wants to get it over with and do his time. He's happy."

Mike was sentenced to eight months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of tax evasion in January 2018. After the MTV personality completes the eight months, he will have two years of supervised release and 500 hours of community service. In addition to that, he was ordered to pay $10,000 fine and $123,000 in restitution.
