Expressing his gratitude to the U.K. police for their thorough investigation, the 'Ride Wit Me' rapper states that he looks forward to 'focus on what I love, family, music and reconnecting with the fans.'

AceShowbiz - Nelly has revealed he's "standing with real survivors" after the sexual assault case against him was dropped.

The "Ride Wit Me" star was accused by an anonymous woman of masturbating in front of her and forcing his penis in her mouth after one of his U.K. concerts in 2017. Nelly had consistently maintained the woman's story is bogus, and the case was dropped earlier this week when she stopped co-operating with police officials.

The unnamed accuser's attorney, Karen Koehler, told TMZ.com at the time: "We told the Essex police we would no longer participate in their shoddy investigation and shifted our focus to the federal lawsuit, where we will wait on the judge to decide that outcome."

Nelly, 44, has now issued a statement, in which he said he's keen to get on with his life following the scandal.

"I am very thankful to the U.K. police for thoroughly investigating the false allegations against me and I am satisfied with the results of this case and the previous one in the US, both driven by the same attorney, both being dropped," he told The Blast.

"I stand with women and real survivors and can't wait to just focus on what I love, family, music and reconnecting with the fans that have stood by me through these turbulent times."

In September (2018), Nelly settled a separate lawsuit with a U.S. woman who had accused him of rape, and he is also facing a second assault allegation from a woman who claimed he assaulted her backstage at a show in Birmingham, England in 2016.
