In legal papers filed in U.S. District Court in Springfield, Massachusetts, an attorney for 'The Cosby Show' star claims Louisa Moritz, Angela Leslie and five others are satisfied with the agreement.

AceShowbiz - Bill Cosby has settled a federal defamation lawsuit brought against him by seven women.

Actresses Louisa Moritz and Angela Leslie, and five others claimed the convicted actor and comedian sexually assaulted them and wrongly called them liars when they went public with their charges.

Their defamation suit was filed in December 2014, over three years before the 81-year-old was found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Temple University administrator Andrea Constand in 2004. Cosby is currently serving time behind bars pending an appeal by his lawyers.

They were among over 50 women who have alleged they were abused by "The Cosby Show" star, but the statute of limitations prevented them from seeking prosecution against the comic.

"Each Plaintiff is satisfied with the settlement," Cosby's attorneys declared in legal papers filed in U.S. District Court in Springfield, Massachusetts.

They did not disclose the terms of the agreement.
