In response to Bennett McBride Sipes' legal action, a lawyer for the 'One Dance' rapper argues the security footage proves that he is 'merely a bystander' that has nothing to do with the altercation.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Drake is demanding to be dismissed from a lawsuit over an assault at a Hollywood nightclub, insisting security video proves he had nothing to do with the brawl.

Bennett McBride Sipes accused the Canadian, football star Odell Beckham Jr., and Kourtney Kardashian's ex-boyfriend, Younes Bendjima, of playing a role in an alleged assault at Delilah a year ago (March 2018) in papers he filed in January.

But, according to court documents obtained by The Blast, Drake's lawyer has written to Sipes' attorneys, urging them to remove his client's name from the complaint.

"First and foremost, there can be no legitimate dispute that my client was not involved in the alleged 'attack' that is the subject of Plaintiff's Complaint," the documents read. "Indeed, the security video footage and screenshots from said video, which are incorporated into the complaint, unequivocally show that neither my client nor any member of his security team ever came into physical contact with Mr. Sipes."

"Rather, the video clearly shows that the entirety of the physical altercation was between Younes Bendjima and Plaintiff, and that Drake was merely a bystander standing several feet away."

Drake also claims he never instructed his security to join the assault, saying their job is to protect him and not "stir up dangerous physical altercations."

The rapper has demanded his name is dismissed from the complaint immediately.
