Responding to a fan who suggests that she will take a shot at her ex-boyfriend, the songstress stresses that not everything she does or says is about him.

AceShowbiz - Jhene Aiko is preparing her comeback to the music industry and has been keeping her fans updated on the progress of her upcoming album, which still doesn't have a title. However, some of the hints that she recently gave out got fans thinking that she would be taking shots at her ex-boyfriend Big Sean, so she quickly debunked the speculation before it spread wider.

It all started after she promised on Instagram Stories that the lyrics on her forthcoming effort would be passionate as writing, "Speaking truth only. You can not control me." She added in another post, "Took my last Klonopin today. ok. here comes the rage." Reading her posts, some fans couldn't help but presume that the R&B singer would diss the rapper.

"Well, Big Sean... she tryna snitch," a fan wrote on Instagram, to which Jhene quickly replied, "Me and Sean are good. I got tons of love for him." Explaining what her next album would be about, the "Saliva" singer noted that it would be "all freestyles where I touch on many subjects and relationships... past, present and future."

"I know you all love the drama and would like to think everything I do or say is about him, but I've been through plenty of other things and situations that I pull inspiration from when I sit down to create a song," Jhene continued. "Have a good day."

Jhene and Sean sparked dating rumors in 2016 before confirming it in an Instagram post. The former couple, who formed a duo called Twenty88, reportedly split in March 2019.

Jhene's upcoming album would be a follow-up to her sophomore effort "Trip", which was released in September 2017 through Def Jam Recordings. Supported by lead single "While We're Young", the record debuted at No. 5 on Billboard 200 and was certified gold by RIAA.
