AceShowbiz - U.S. presidential wannabe Cory Booker has praised his new girlfriend Rosario Dawson for making him "a better person".
The "Luke Cage" actress confirmed her romance with Booker, the former Mayor of Newark, earlier this month, in a video for TMZ.com.
Appearing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in an interview airing on Wednesday, March 20, Booker, who recently announced his campaign for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in the 2020 election, spoke about the burgeoning relationship, and how much Dawson has already improved his life.
"As our relationship grows its difficult (dating in the public eye), but she is such a deeply soulful person," he gushed. "And has taught me a lot of lessons about love already. Sometimes, you show the greatest strength when you make yourself vulnerable. She really has this nurturing spirit that has made me more courageous not just in the love that I project and want to see in our country, but I think in our own personal relationships to love more fearlessly. I'm very, very blessed to be with somebody that makes me a better person".
Booker also opened up about the moment Rosario was ambushed at the airport by cameramen for the gossip website.
"You know, she was visiting me in D.C., and then she left to the airport, and she got ambushed at the airport," he laughed. "I suddenly get this little video from her saying I got TMZ'd! I don't have make-up on this and this and that. But she knew that it was. She was wonderful and she’s just an incredible human being".
Dawson sparked rumours she was dating the U.S. Senator after they were spotted out and about together in New York City in January.
The screen star previously dated director Danny Boyle and comedian Eric Andre, while Booker was linked to U.S. newswoman Gayle King, poet Cleo Wade, and Chanda Gibson, the executive director of the Council of Urban Professionals.
