The soundtrack album by Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper returns to the top of the chart following the 2019 Academy Awards.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande was initially expected to spend a third week atop Billboard 200 with her "Thank U, Next", but that spot is eventually taken over by Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper's "A Star Is Born" soundtrack album. The album sold 128,000 equivalent album units in the week ending February 28, according to Nielsen Music.

The album's big gain is heavily influenced by the publicity and promotion spurred by the film's showcase at the recently-wrapped 2019 Academy Awards. "A Star Is Born" took home Best Original Song for "Shallow", which is also vying to dethrone Ariana's "7 Rings" on Billboard's Hot 100. In addition to that, the sale pricing of the album on Amazon most likely has something to do with the big gain.

Topping the Billboard 200 chart for four nonconsecutive weeks, "A Star Is Born" soundtrack album earns the most weeks atop the chart for any soundtrack since "Frozen (2013)" soundtrack album ruled the chart for 13 weeks in 2004. It also marks the most weeks at No. 1 for a live-action film since "High School Musical 2" did the same in 2007.

Back to this week's chart, Ariana's "Thank U, Next" slips to No. 2 with 116,000 units as Gunna scores his highest-charting album yet. His latest album "Drip or Down 2" debuts at No. 3 with 90,000 units. Following closely behind him if Offset's "Father of 4". which arrives at No. 4 with 89,000 units. Also basking in the glow of Academy Awards, Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" soundtrack rounds out the top five with 61,000 units.

This week's Billboard 200 chart sees several album arriving in the top ten. Along with Offset and Gunna, Gary Clark Jr. also enters the top ten at No. 6 with his latest album "This Land". The effort racked up 54,000 units, marking his third top ten album. Lil Pump's "Harverd Dropout", meanwhile, debuts at No. 7 with 48,000 units. It marks his second top ten album.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie's "Hoodie SZN" drops to No. 8 with 37,000 units, while Kehlani's "While We Wait" arrives at No. 9 with 34,000 units. Closing out the top ten for this week is Post Malone's "Beerbongs & Bentleys" with 33,000 units.
