'They still love and care for each other,' a source says of the rumored exes, who have been dating for nearly three years.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Seacrest is apparently back on the market. It has been reported that the "American Idol" host has split from his girlfriend Shayna Taylor after dating nearly for three years. A source reveals that it was an amicable split and the rumored exes remain friendly with each other even after the breakup.
"They're still really close," so the source said of the pair to PEOPLE. "They still love and care about each other." As for the reason of their split, another source teased that it might have something to do with marriage. While Shayna was more than ready to take the next step of their relationship, it wasn't the case for Ryan.
"After three years together, Shayna wanted more out of the relationship," the insider, who claims to be close to the 26-year-old chef, told the publication. "It felt like natural next step for her. She was ready to get married, but Ryan wasn't there yet." Despite that, the source noted that the two "really are still friendly" after the split.
Meanwhile, a third source said of their relationship, "Ryan and Shayna have always cared deeply about each other and had and have a wonderful relationship. But it got to a point where it made more sense to break up. It had just run its course. But they are still very close."
Ryan and Shayna began dating after meeting through friends in 2013, but split in the following year. The couple later rekindled romance in 2016. Shayna moved to New York from Los Angeles with Ryan after the latter was tapped to co-host "Live" with Kelly Ripa in 2017.
Speaking about their romance last fall, Ryan noted that they chose to focus on the present rather than the future. "Family is important to me, and to Shayna as well, but I've always tried to put life into a master schedule with deadlines, and I don't want to do that [with Shayna]." he said. "We both try to actually be in this moment, feel this connection, enjoy it and let it grow."
