AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa has finally addressed Bradley Cooper romance rumors that have sparked since they star in "A Star Is Born" together. On Sunday, February 24, the duo performed an intimate duet of the film's song "Shallow" at the Academy Awards, fueling the speculations.

When she stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday, the host couldn't help asking her about all the talks about their passionate duet. "You had such a connection with Bradley that instantly -- and I guess this is compliment -- people started saying, 'They must be dating. They must be in love," Jimmy Kimmel brought up the question that people have been asking.

GaGa responded with an eye roll, before putting the rumors to rest. "First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it's done to pop culture is abysmal," she said, slamming the online comments that started the romance speculations. "People saw love and, guess what, that's what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song," she added. "The movie, 'A Star Is Born', it's a love story."

"From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time," she went on explaining "When you're singing love songs, that's how you want people to feel." Comparing her performance with Cooper to when she went on a tour with Tony Bennett, she insisted, "I'm an artist!"

At the end of the day, GaGa thought it was a compliment to their very convincing acting. "I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!" she concluded.

GaGa, who brought her Oscar statuette to the talk show, came to promote the re-release to "A Star Is Born". The musical drama film will be back in more than 1,150 theaters across North America for one week starting Friday, March 1.

The "special encore engagement" will feature almost 12 minutes of additional footage, including a previously unreleased song titled "Clover", which is performed by GaGa's Ally and Cooper's Jack.
