According to an eyewitness, a man with a gun attacks members of the musicians' crew and badly pistol whips one bodyguard.

AceShowbiz - What was supposed to be a creative recording session for Rich the Kid and Usher turned into a violent attack. TMZ reported that a man opened fire at Westlake Recording studio in West Hollywood, Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 12. Both Usher and Rich were recording when the horrifying incident took place outside the studio.

According to an eyewitness, a man with a gun attacked multiple associates of the musicians and badly pistol whipped one bodyguard. The man then fired up to 10 shots while running away from the scene with a lot of cash and jewelry in hand. Fortunately, no one was hit by the bullet.

Usher was inside during the incident, so he was unhurt. Meanwhile, Rich the Kid was outside. It was said that the latter was originally targeted during the attack.

Nicole Nishida, Civilian Public Information for the L.A. County Sherrif's Office, confirmed the attack in a statement. "I can not confirm that Usher was involved but I can confirm that at approximately 3:27 today at a location on the 7200 block of Santa Monica blvd multiple suspects allegedly robbed victims at a local business and shots were fired," she said.

The case is ongoing and police continue to investigate.

Prior to the attack, Rich the Kid posted on Instagram a picture of him flaunting his wealth just outside the studio. "Always in bank mo deposit," he captioned the picture, which saw him holding a bunch of money near a purple Lamborghini.
