AceShowbiz - HBO has unearthed 14 new official images from the upcoming eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones". The newly-released photos offer a closer look at returning characters of the fan-favorite medieval fantasy series that will return this April.
One of the photos features Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) donning what seems like a new, dramatic costume. Standing next to Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Dany is wearing an outfit that features more fur embellishment and a deep-red embroidery.
The photos also gives a better look at Maisie Williams' Arya Stark. Fans have been waiting for Arya to reunite with Jon, who gave him her trusty sword Needle. The picture sees that she still has the sword alongside her Valyrian steel dagger that she used to kill Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen).
Also featured in the new images are Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and her protector Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) as well as Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Meanwhile, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) is seen standing alon in the Red Keep.
In addition to the 14 new photos, "Game of Thrones" also shares on its Twitter account another picture of Jon and Dany together. While other photos feature the characters sporting a rather tensed expression, Dany is seen smiling at Jon in the picture.

Season 8 of "Game of Thrones" will premiere on April 14 on HBO.

Looking serious, Arya is seen still having both her sword Needle and the Valeryan steel dagger at her waist.
6. Is He Giving a Good Sign?
Sam Tarly (John Bradley) is slightly smiling in the picture, and fans are hoping that it's a sign of Jon-Sam reunion after they last met in season 5.
7. Serious-Looking Bran
Many fans are wondering what Bran Stark will do following the revelation that Jon is half-Stark and half-Targaryen.
8. New Black Coat
Donning a new black coat, Conleth Hill's Varys is pictured in Winterfell.
9. Sansa's Protector
Brienne of Tarth is looking serious than ever as she continues to be next to Sansa following her promise to Catelyn Stark.
10. Looking Concerned
Something seemingly is bugging Sir Davos, who has been a staunch supporter of Jon Snow's ever since he witnessed the latter being resurrected from the death.
11. Another Key Character
Fans are eager to know what was the meaning behind Tyrion's questionable expression when he caught Jon and Dany having a steamy intercourse in season 7 finale.
12. What Could This Smile Mean?
Last season saw Jaime driving away from his twin sister Cersei and heading North, prompting fans to wonder if he will join Jon and co. in their battle against the White Walkers.
13. Alone
Cersei Lannister looks lonely following the death of her son Tommen Baratheon.
