The New England Patriots quarterback sets record as the only player in NFL history to win six Super Bowls after his team defeated the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.

AceShowbiz - New England Patriots' win at Super Bowl LIII is also a big win for Tom Brady. Having led the team to reach the big game nine times, the 41-year-old quarterback scored his sixth win with the team on Sunday night, February 3.

With the latest win, Brady has set a record as the first player in NFL history to win six Super Bowls. He was previously tied with Pro Football Hall of Famer Charles Haley as the only players to win five Super Bowls.

Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in what is now known as the lowest-scoring game in Super Bowl history. Brady helped set the Patriots up for their only touchdown with a 29-yard completion to Rob Gronkowski.

Brady previously won Super Bowl with Patriots in 2002 (XXXVI), 2004 (XXXVIII), 2005 (XXXIX), 2015 (XLIX) and 2017 (LI). He has also been named MVP at Super Bowl four times.

Brady now also holds the record for most career wins with 237 wins. Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri, who is returning for a 24th season in 2019, trails behind with 236 career wins.

"He's a great quarterback and I'd certainly put him up there against anybody," coach Bill Belichick said of Brady prior to Super Bowl LIII. "He's a great player, and he's been a great player for the New England Patriots. Certainly his record is unmatched. I'm glad he's my quarterback."

Tight end Rob Gronkowski also sang praise for his teammate days leading to the game, "The guy has already accomplished so much, he's the best out there. The way he competes, the way he prepares for the game, the way he practices every single week, it's just legendary. It makes him the greatest."

This year's MVP is Patriots' wide receiver and punt returner Julian Edelman. Brady credited his teammate who missed last season with a torn ACL, saying he's "a fighter and did great job coming back from ACL."
