AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus and husband Liam Hemsworth have stepped out for their first public appearance as a married couple since secretly tying the knot on December 23, 2018. The former Disney darling accompanied her actor husband, who was honored at the G'Day USA Gala on Saturday night, January 26 in Los Angeles.

For the event, Miley teamed her black velvet gown with plunging neckline with matching heels and an array of bracelets and layered necklaces. Keeping her makeup simple and classic, the "Malibu" singer let her blonde locks down. On the other hand, Liam looked dapper in a fitted black suit. Sharing an Instagram picture taken from the event, Miley wrote, "Date night. OUT and ready to party with the MR."

Taking the stage to accept the G'Day USA Excellence in Film for his performance in the likes of "The Hunger Games" franchise and "Independence Day: Resurgence", Liam made the time to give a sweet shout-out to Miley. "Thank you to my beautiful wife," he said, prompting the audience to applause. "You are a sweet, sweet angel. You're great, you're great."

Miley then could be heard shouting from the crowd, "More about me!" to which he playfully responded, "Yeah, I'll tell you later."

Earlier in the night, Liam was asked about his secret wedding when hitting the red carpet alone. "It was great, it was just a really nice, beautiful day with our immediate family and a couple of close friends," he shared. "It's wonderful, we've been together for the better part of ten years so it doesn't feel like a lot's changed on one hand, but on the other hand it does... It's all great, I'm loving it!"

As reported before, Miley and Liam tied the knot on December 23, 2018 in an intimate, secret ceremony after dating on-and-off for nine years. The couple later posted several pictures from the nuptials to their own Instagram account, with one photo featuring the couple embracing each other near a fireplace.
