Talking about the new track with Zane Lowe of Beats 1, the 'Boo'd Up' producer reveals that the beat was always intended for the Atlanta-based group.

AceShowbiz - It's been a while since fans listened to Migos' songs as a group. Welcoming the new year, the three-piece group has linked up with Mustard to release a new single entitled "Pure Water" on Wednesday, January 17. The song was first premiered by Zane Lowe on Beats 1, marking the first collaboration between the two acts.

The song finds Quavo, Offset and Takeoff boasting about their wealth, including ice chains, the female company and the stacks of cash, over Mustard's signature West Coast-vibe beats. "Ten bad b***es and they after me/ One bad b***h look like a masterpiece," Quavo raps on the hook, letting his teammates take over the layup. "Lookin' for a dunk, like an athlete/ Big drip, what you call it? Ice chain, pure water."

Talking about the new track on the Apple Music radio, Mustard revealed to Lowe that the beat was always intended for Migos. "At first it was just a song me and Quavo came up with, and then I was like, 'No, I gotta get the whole gang on here.' We worked our way to get everybody on there and it was... I knew what it was when I first heard it though," he said, comparing their collaboration to "a house party."

"This is my first time working with Offset and Takeoff. Me and Quavo got an ongoing relationship 'cause we did the song 'Want Her' a long time ago. Now with this song, it was easier," he added. "I feel like everybody grown, even myself. With me and Quavo, it was just tag teaming, getting everybody involved, but once it came together, it was like a match made in heaven type thing."

Aside from his collaboration with the Atlanta-based group, Mustard hinted at collaborations with the likes of 21 Savage, Future, Meek Mill and Tyga and others. As for Migos, the group is currently working on the follow-up to their chart-topping album "Culture II".
